CCH files appearing

Can someone help me. I have files of type CCH appearing on my Windows 95
system running Compuserver 4 (it has only happened since upgrading from 3.04
to version 4).

The files are 4 bytes long - all ascii code 0, and the name is my Compuserve
number.cch ie 100456.446.cch
They seem to appear whenever I attach a file.
Can anyone shed any light on this, and what I can do to stop it happening.
