I'd like to ask you some questions:
1) Is CompuServeOffice the same thing as CompuServe-by-call?
2) As a CompuServeOffice user, may I also use offers like database, Virtual
Key and Instant Messenger, which are usually for general CompuServe members?
3) How can I change my user name and my email address (I use
CompuServeOffice!)?
4) Does Compuserve support both 56flex AND V.90?
Thanks for your efforts,
Greetings,
Thomas Fricker
At least in Germany CompuServe Office is the only Internet-by-Call
service from CompuServe.
> 2) As a CompuServeOffice user, may I also use offers like database,
No (at least not yet and not the premium databases), since there
is no way for CS to collect the charges for these services.
> Virtual Key
No; CompuServe Office uses an authentification scheme called Web
Access which does not need additional software on your computer.
Web Access will even work with Netscape on a Linux computer.
> and Instant Messenger,
Yes.
Your IM screen name is thomasfr9.
> which are usually for general CompuServe members?
With the exception of Instant Messenger, which is free for everyone.
> 3) How can I change my user name and my email address (I use
> CompuServeOffice!)?
Once you have selected a screen name, you can't change it anymore.
However, you can sign up again for a second screen name.
> 4) Does Compuserve support both 56flex AND V.90?
According to the technical info page, V.90 and V.34 are supported.
