I know there are FAQs out there on this, but frankly they are none too
clear.
Just updated to Compuserve version 4.02 from 3.02 and have exasperatingly
lost ability to read and send mail as POP and SMTP through OE4.01. Cannot
for the life of me find user name/password and server settings which work.
Might it be better to return to 3.02 ? And even then?
What I have gathered is that CS 2000 is a non-no from this point of view.
If I could just use Compuserve simply to get a good dial-up Internet and
e-mail connection using standard Microsoft software, without all the bells
and whistles, it would be nice...
Advice very welcome...

In article <8umv54$lhl$1...@sshuraac-i-1.production.compuserve.com>,

The version of the Compuserve access software you use is immaterial.

The server settings are pop.compuserve.com and smtp.compuserve.com

The userid is ggat, the password is your pop3 mail only password.
Connect to http://www.compuserve.com/communications and click on My
Settings to create one.
