I have installed Compuserv 4.0.2 on a notebook, but can't get it to dial
out. I've made a CIS connection in my dial up networking, i have added IP
addresses to the networking neighbourhood DNS.

If I dial my CIS connection I can connect just fine, but even then the
Compuserve software cannot connect.

Does anyone know how to resolve this or does anyone have a document or a
website address where I might find some info on how to use / install
compuserve software on Windows NT 4 Workstation ??

TIA

Steven,

Could you mail this document to me, I cannot get in to this site because my
userid/password isn't recognized, furthermore I should use my compuserve
software to access this page, but I cannot (yet) use the compuserve
software. See my problem ?

Kind Regards,

I too have BIG problems with NT 4 and CompuServe. I access the
CompuServe forums via the Internet using I.E. 4.01 and some forums work
OK. However the UKHelp Forum in particular has some kind of glitch in
the welcome page - I suspect that it is some kind of Shockwave file
embedded in it - which causes I.E. to abend with a GPF in ieexplore.exe
(remember those?). Unfortunately this will continue to occur since I do
not know how to report this to UKHelp since I can't access the forum in
the first place. Not that anyone in CompuServe will take any notice -
they never do. Well actually it wont occur for long because as soon as
I can find out how to stop CompuServe continuing to charge my credit
card afterwards I shall resign my membership.
