SoI try to turn on my wifi and it will go Grey and load but refuse to turn on. So I have tried several things to fix it and only restarting it "helps" but like 30 seconds after I turn it on and/or connect to a network my phone turns it off and won't allow me to turn it back on. I have been a loyal Samsung customer but I'm starting to think your forced system updates are shutting down parts of my system so I'm forced to buy a new one.
Go to Settings -Connections --Wi-Fi -Tap the Menu 3 dots on the top right - Intelligent Wi-Fi - Turn Wi-Fi on/off automatically, and toggle this option off. Tap the back button, then tap the cog to the right of your current Wi-Fi connection - Auto-Reconnect, ensure that this is toggled on.
Go to Settings- Connections - Wi-Fi - Tap the cog symbol to the right of your router - Forget . This is the bottom right on the list. Toggle your Wi-Fi off and on again - Select your router from the list of available connections, and run through all the connection steps.
Thereafter go to Settings - Connections - Wi-Fi - Tap the cog next to your router - view More, select the MAC Address Type and set this to Phone MAC. If the issue persists, I would suggest pressing the Volume Down and Power buttons together for around 10 seconds until the phone restarts, the reason being that this will refresh the software and address any issues that might be causing problems. An idea also to reboot the router if the issue not solved.
This happened to my sons phone and we tried everything. I noticed the SmartThings App was telling me it had an error after each reset so we un-installed it and reset the phone and the wifi problem is now fixed!!
I purchased a 2022 model of the Samsung Galaxy Book 2 Pro 360 in the 13.3 inch variant. I had horrible issues with the WIFI. The signal was all over the place while staying in one spot (about 30 feet from the router). My internet speeds were between 5-50 download and same upload. It would drop wifi constantly. I returned the laptop to the store assuming it had a bad wifi that missed quality control. I got the same laptop as a replacement. I had the same issues with the new laptop, but not quite as bad. Even sitting with the laptop within inches of the router the download speed was ok (400 on a 500/500 fiber connection) but the upload speed was still only 100 or so. Back in the living room less than 30 feet away from the router I was getting slow and erratic connection speeds/issues with it dropping.
My wifi router is relatively new and an AX5400 router with 160 ghz. I updated the firmware on the galaxy book and the router, I ensured 2.4 and 5 ghz bands were split so I wasn't connecting to a slower 2.4 ghz connection. My 7 year old samsung laptop sitting in the same place gets a 450/450 speed test and doesn't drop video conferences like the galaxy 360 did.
I contacted support who had told me to re-install windows. When I informed them I had done that they suggested sending it in for repair, but I don't think this is an issue with just one laptop, I think it is a driver or hardware issue. I had literally been up all night working on it for 12 hours. I'm not super familiar with windows 11, but prior versions I supported as a PC Tech and I'm a software analyst.. so I knew a few tricks and know how to google. It appears intel's AX wifi chips have some issues. I am typing this on a Surface Laptop 4, and it has an older version of the chip AX200. Download speed is OK but upload speed is around 150, while my wifi 6 connected phones do 450 to 500 up/down in the same location. This chip doesn't drop the connection though and the signal stays strong, but still disappointed in this chip as well but I do not drop conferences on the Surface Laptop 4.
I'm hoping this is a known issue that has a fix? I tried both installing new drivers from Samsung and Intel and reverting back to old drivers, re-installing windows, making it connect on AC instead of AX and the issue persisted.
I returned the second laptop as well... but it is a REALLY nice laptop and I want to make it work, I just need the wifi issues fixed. Has anyone had this problem and found a fix? My 12 hours of searching, and about an hour of it again today, has yielded nothing.
Router is an ASUS "gaming" router - RT-AX82U. I tried changing channels, etc., but nothing seemed to work. I don't think it is the router unless this particular wifi chip doesn't work with my particular router as all my other phones and other laptops all get full network connection and do not drop calls/conferences, etc. Working from home I need to be able to use Teams all day and wasn't able to from the wifi issues. I even looked into finding an external usbc wifi adapter to use until the issue gets solved, but I couldn't find one!
Hi, we request you to get the laptop examined by the Samsung authorized service technician so that they can determine the root cause of the issue and fix it.

I'm having similar issue on Book 2 360 Pro 15". I'm using Orbi mesh RBR850 with 2 RBS's. Seeing Wifi speeds 300-350mbps, but normally should be seeing much higher speeds at least double. I have 1.2Gpbs plan with Xfinity. I've tested on three different sites and also tested my other devices and not seeing any issues so I know it's just this laptop.
I am having the exact same issue but it somehow got exacerbated with a recent update. I have a Surface pro sitting in the exact same location and I am getting 770/540 upload/download speeds and on my Samsung book 2 pro I am getting 170/60 speeds. I have tried connecting directly to a router using cat5 and I am still having the same issue.
I have the same problem with my PC and frankly just using gmail for a pc of this spec and getting these problems is crazy - if anyone can point me to how to resolve would be much appreciated - not sure how to get this into Samsung for support ticket - thanks
I have a q910a samsung sound bar and both youtube music and spotify. They both can find and cast music to the bar. Have you tried adding the sound bar to google home? Link up smartthings and google home so the device is shown in google home
Just got myself a set of deco m5 and have been enjoying myself surfing in the last 2 days. Love the coverage and performance is stable so I'm extremely happy until I tried to connect my Samsung Smart TV model HU7100 and found out that I cannot connect to the network.
When I search wireless connection, the network is shown but just can't connect. Tried connecting to my mobile hot-spot and it works so I'm thinking it has to do with the M5 setting. My deco m5 base unit is connected to my isp router via an ethernet cable while WiFi is being disabled and it on router mode.
For my smart TV, the IP and DNS setting is set to automatic. Ip address, subnet mask, gateway and dns server is all 0.0.0.0 and nothing works. I have tried turning off 5ghz thinking tt it would work on 2.4ghz but unsuccessfully.
I turned off both fast roaming and beam forming and tested it works. Not sure if it's a bug in the firmware. I thought that these 2 features are suppose to enhance the user experience thus should be disabled.
Per your description, the Deco M5 is connected to the ISP router and works in router mode, while the wifi is disabled? While what I'm confused is that you said you can see the Deco's wifi but unable to join it; so I wanna know did you disable the isp router's wifi or Deco M5?
Besides, back to your case, if your smart TV can detect the wifi but unable to join it, it is suggested to disable fast roaming, and setup qos as standard, clear high priority devices and give it a go.
@Jowk I can just confirm, with current firmware (as of 2020/03) this still is the same with Deco M4. 2 different models of smar tv from samsung failed to connect, and exactly as described, it started working when beamforming and fast switching disable, but wtf, that is degrading my whole user experience in the network. maybe better all who have the issue, shoould address that to Samsung TV support, and request firmwar fix on their side. But hey if boys on TP side could fix it it would be great, maybe optional disbaling that probleatic function on detecting samsung tv?
How do I print out the network configuration page on the Samsung M2830DW. The instructions I see reference a control panel which this printer does not have. I need to connect my printer to my WIFI network, and I need the WPS PIN.
This method does not work on my new synology router and windows 10. Air Print would work perfectly using the WPS method with the printer and router as access point but my 2800fw would not connect to my PC via the setup process, I suspect it has do do with some security settings so a work-a-round for me is this:
7) add that as default printer, then I mouse over it, click on the lower right link and samsung print manager would prompt you to add this printer, and after some process viola! printing, scanning, and scan-to-PC all works flawlessly
I may have found a fix to this. I did this about an hour ago on my Note 9 and have not had the notification pop up since. You need to use nova launcher to access a mobile network settings screen that I can't seem to find in the regular settings menu (if anyone knows how to get there without it, please let us know). The easiest way is to assign access to an unused gesture input. Once you get to the menu, you will see an option for wifi calling, which may be under an "advanced" sub menu. Then select "wifi only" and you should be good to go. Here's a link to screenshots of the process:
