Umm? I have no idea what happened. It's very strange because on my PC this is what it looks like. But when i log into Minecraft on my Laptop, it's completely normal. I don't have internet on my PC at the moment, so i can't go into my Minecraft account and try to change the avatar.
I was under the impression that a skin in a resource pack just over-rid the one uploaded to minecraft.net (and worked if you played offline also), but I actually have no experience with how that works.
Attention: The plugin requires a resource pack, if you don't know how to use it or don't like this idea back off, also the symbols used for avatars can cause lag to the client not the server if used in chat or tab use it sparingly You have been warned, have a nice day!
A few of the avatars on the list of obtainable ones may not currently appear on the marketplace. These can still be obtained by purchasing a costume gift and gifting the costume pack that contains the desired avatar to yourself.

MCHeads supports HTTP/2, meaning a client can re-use a single underlying TCP connection to make multiple requests instead of opening a new connection for each one, making the whole process up to 50% faster!
If you are using one of the JSON or avatar endpoints of MCHeads, using HTTP/2 could heavily increase performance in your app.
