General announcements during the 2022-03 (4.23) endgame are posted to the platform-...@eclipse.org developer mailing list. Anyone participating in the endgame should be subscribed to this list, and should direct any general questions and comments about the process there as well.

No API changes are expected after RC1. Any exception must beapproved by the PMC. No changes are to be released without prior approvaland associated bug report. Please send the request for approval to the eclipse-pmcmailing list. If a change is made to API to make it binary compatible witha previous release, technically this is still an API change, and thus it should be treatedin the same way as any other API change requests.

Any feature work after RC1 must be approved by the PMC. No changes are to be released without prior approvaland associated bug report. Please send the request for approval to the eclipse-pmcmailing list.

All fixes submitted must have a project lead or PMC vote on the bug report, and the fix must be reviewed by an additional committer (any committer other than the one who made the fix). A positive review from a project lead or PMC member means implicit approval and no vote is needed on the bug report. Ongoing changes to documentation, tests or examples do not require approval.

Release candidate containing fixes for the majority of known outstanding defects that we intend to fix for 2022-03 (4.23). At the end of RC2 build, there should not be any open defects tagged 4.23. I cannot use Marketplace because of something within our company (works in neon, but not with this ide). I need to install the updated version using "Install New Software" but the url does not point to it the updated version it still goes to

I have installed plugin version 1.0.0.202010091040 and can see that this supports Cucumber 4.2 Is there a planned date for the plugin to support Cucumber 6.x? The file cucumber.eclipse.backends.java_1.0.0.202010091040.jar contains cucumber-java-4.2.0.jar and cucumber-core-4.2.0.jar. Some of the Java classes ahve changed packages after version 4.5.

I have installed the latest plugin on Eclipse Version: 2020-06 (4.16.0), Build id: 20200615-1200. After installation completion and Eclipse restart I create a feature file under my project, Eclipse immediately shows a popup that the .feature file type not associated with any plugin available. It suggests to install a plugin from marketplace. Choosing the option opens marketplace wher I can see that this plugin is already installd. Please help.

I have installed the latest plugin on Eclipse Version: 2020-09 (4.16.0). It suggests to install a plugin from marketplace. Choosing the option opens marketplace wher I can see that this plugin is already installd.

Plugin installed and recognized the feature files and Gherkin syntax. But it is not detecting step definitons. I have a need to pull some step def from dependency jar as well. In my case, no step definitons are recognized. I also tried with Eclipse 2020-03 release as well. I installed all different ways, from eclipse marketplace, as a zip file. No luck. Any pointers please.

I have a issue when editing the feature file, when I change some context in the feature file, then Cucumber Building(sleeping) thread will block other tasks to startup, if I removed the Cucumber builder from the project, then all the functions work properly. could you please have a look at this issue?

With 2.x, the JUnit view would display the steps of the currently executing scenario with a little green "arrow" marker that indicated the next step to be executed. Now there is no green arrow and (worse) no steps list - only the name of the executed scenario.

The 23.2 release was tested for use with Eclipse 2023-09. For a list of supported versions and for more information about installing and downloading the tools, including archived versions of the tools for older versions of Eclipse, see WebSphere Application Server Developer Tools Releases.

This is a bug in LDT 23.2 that we have fixed for the next release (currently expected in May 2024). The workaround between now and then is to not close down Eclipse whilst the Server view is displayed - switch to another view before exiting Eclipse.

As per our support lifecycle policy ( ) we only offer formal support for the current and last release, so I'd like to take this opportunity to recommend you move to an Eclipse that is more recent than the version you've chosen.

If I turn off Mark Occurrences (Window -> Preferences -> Java -> Editor -> Mark Occurrences -> Unselect checkbox) then the error goes away. The same code works fine without Liberty Tool set installed.

Fyi, for now, I have followed what has been suggested in other places. I installed 2022-03 eclipse, then installed Liberty tools via marketplace, then did Check for Updates and installed all of those one time. After Eclipse rebooted, Mark Occurrences is working again. Too soon to tell if everything else is working but so far don't see anything broken. Will try to update if I see something else.

I'm using the default version "plugins/org.eclipse.justj.openjdk.hotspot.jre.full.win32.x86_64_17.0.2.v20220201-1208/jre/bin". But I discovered that this error has nothing to do with the Liberty Tools plugin, because even before installing it and right after restarting Eclipse a few times, we already faced the error when opening a .java in the IDE's editor.

Download the .zip file of IBM WebSphere Application Server Developer Tools for Eclipse to a directory on your computer. The .zip file is available at WebSphere Application Server Developer Tools Releases.

SonarLint is an IDE extension that helps you detect and fix quality and security issues as you write code. Like a spell checker, SonarLint squiggles flaws so they can be fixed before committing code. You can get it directly from the Eclipse Marketplace, and it will then detect new bugs and quality issues as you code for the following languages: Java (available with JDT), JavaScript / TypeScript / CSS (available with Node.js), HTML, PHP, and Python.

If your project is analyzed on SonarQube or on SonarCloud, SonarLint can connect to it to retrieve the appropriate quality profiles and settings for that project, as well as some additional language support.

SonarLint requires Eclipse to use Java 11+ as runtime but you can analyze Java projects targeting older or newer Java versions. In order to run analyzers from SonarQube 10.5+ and SonarCloud that require a Java 17 runtime, we provide our own one for the analysis if the IDE itself is not running on a sufficient JRE. If you want to use your own one to keep full control, take a look at the dedicated documentation.

with the latest release of SonarLint for Eclipse, version 8.1.0.80220, this issue has been fixed. Thank you for your patience and for the VERY late response. If you have any further issues, please let us know!

On what version of Eclipse are you trying to install SonarLint ? Are you installing from the Marketplace ? May I suggest you to report this issue on our community forum ( ) with more details about your environment please ?

I encourage you to report issues on our community forum because it is more convenient, but the error seems to indicate you are using an old version of the Javascript analyzer. I guess this is because you are using connected mode with an old version of SonarQube.

Thanks for using SonarLint for Eclipse and reporting this. I don't see any reference to SonarLint in the error message that you posted, could you double check installing SonarLint really is the cause of the issue ? If you had the 'Contact all update sites during install to find required software' option activated, could you try to unselect it ?

Can hit other websites from eclipse and external browner, but both (https) eclipse-uc.sonarlint.org/content.xml and (http) eclipse-uc.sonarlint.org are not found. Not Found doesn't appear to be a java keystore issue, as some of the help links suggest. Is something else wrong? Is there a way to simply download the plugin rather than install it from marketplace?

Hey Julien, can you check again please? We are having troubles again with the following error:
