Went to bed watching Netflix, then awoke a few hours later to find that Firefox had auto updated to 34.0.5 and that I could no longer access any Netflix video... I receive a Netflix Error Code N8152, which refers to a DRM/Silverlight error. Netflix continues to work properly in IE and Chrome.

Following Netflix's instructions, I've uninstalled/reinstalled Silverlight multiple times (making sure I have the newest version). I've verified that Silverlight plug-in is set to "Always Activate" and that it is "Allowed" and Enabled for Netflix.com. (I have also followed all of Netflix's other troubleshooting tips, even though I know they are not relevant, such disabling virus protection software, and adding Netflix.com as a trusted site, etc...

hi tommyj1112, microsoft has released a defective update for silverlight through the monthly patchday yesterday (and disabled it again afterwards). can you try this fixit tool to restore your installation or else reinstall silverlight manually?

I have the same problem. I follow Philipps chosen solution several times but still "netflix" is not working. It works with "explorer" and with "chrome" because (as the guys at "netflix" told me) those two browsers do not use the silverlight "plug-in.But I do not want to use anything but "firefox".

I recently bought a new AppleTV 4K and was enjoying it trouble-free. Then about a month ago I started to get the 11800 error on the Netflix app accompanied by the message "A problem occurred while playing this item. Try again later, or select a different item. Go to www.netflix.com/support for more information." This error occurs randomly -- sometimes I can play an entire hour long episode of a show without the error appearing and sometimes it appears every 5 minutes. I have tried rebooting my Apple TV, factory resetting my Apple TV, rebooting my modem and router -- nothing works. I also called Apple Support, but no luck there. I even tried a different Apple TV but that didn't solve the issue either. All the other apps work fine, no glitches.

Thank you so much for the response. I did check to see if my Apple TV was set to use Auto DNS, which it was. I ended up contacting my ISP and had them change my router and modem. That seems to have done the trick. Fingers crossed that the problem doesn't come up again.
