am doing a Home Composting Workshop tomorrow evening with fellow

composting in NYC apartments is possible. Come join us for a FREE
indoor composting workshop led by Master Composters-in-training Cara
Wolinsky & Ben Horner.
Where: Cara’s Apartment – 300 E 46th St. Apt 4D (at 2nd Ave)
When: Wednesday November 17, 7-9PM
Who: Open to anyone interested in apartment composting. Limited to
first 15 respondents.

Worms too icky for you?
Freeze your veggie scraps (no smells, rotting or pests) and
periodically drop them off at the Lower East Side Ecology Center’s
Compost Stand at the Union Square Farmers Market. It’s located on the
NE corner of the market, along E 17th St and Union Square East/Park
Ave. Open M, W, F & Sat 8AM-5PM year round. Drop off is FREE!
