There is still old spam. Probably lots and lots of it. Its very laborious to remove. ("Report Spam" doesn't remove the message). The top 5 messages should be non-spam. I think I've deleted 20 spam just to get to this point.
Re: "anyone want to help moderating spam/new member messages" - whilst no new spam should appear, the downside is that new members need to have their first post moderated.
Google sends me a very non-descriptive email saying "compositekeys has a message requiring moderation". 90% of those are for actual spam. So i won't be checking a dozen google groups' list of messages to be moderated each day. I have those messages being tagged and never arrive in my inbox.
This google group, more than any other I created, has real users with real problems/features to discuss. It would be great if someone could moderate the "new person" messages and separate them from the spam. That way new people would have their messages appear in the forum, and people can answer them.
Hmm, else I might have to write a command that pops up all the "manage messages" pages for all the groups, each day. Hmm, perhaps that could be fun.
