You're right—Christmas Day is officially Friday, December 25, 2026. But here in the Philippines, we tend to start celebrating a bit early 😄. Due to the time difference—roughly 12–16 hours ahead of the U.S.—when it’s still Thursday in the U.S., it’s already Friday evening here. That’s why, for us, December 24 already feels like Christmas kickoff, and we Filipinos love celebrating all the way to midnight.

Even though we’re on duty on December 25, our shift starts at 9:00 AM EST (10:00 PM PHT), so the timing works out nicely with our early celebrations. That’s why we chose December 24 as “our Christmas Day.” 🎄

Hope this clears up the time-zone magic and the early Christmas cheer!

Our pleasure! 😊 Yes—Cherry will let everyone know at least two weeks in advance whenever she plans to take a day off, so we all stay in the loop throughout the year.

As a reminder, each employee is entitled to 12 personal (vacation) days per year plus 4 sick days. Please note that the 3 company-wide days off are deducted from the 12 personal days, which is why each VA effectively has 9 personal days available to use throughout the year. These can be scheduled as needed—just give a heads-up so we can plan accordingly.

I’ve also attached a screenshot from the contract for easy reference. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or need clarification on anything!
