The next European Conference on Complex Systems will take place in Barcelona, 16 to 20 September 2013 in the Word Trade Center Barcelona. The Complex Systems Society sponsors this annual event.

Call for organizing satellite meetings

ECCS’13 will be a major international conference and event in the area of complex systems and interdisciplinary science in general. It will offer unique opportunities to study novel scientific approaches in a multitude of application areas. Two days of the conference, 18 and 19 September, are reserved for satellite meetings, which will cover a broad range of subjects on all aspects of Complex Systems, as reflected by the conference tracks (appended below).

Applications to organize a satellite meeting can now be submitted via email. Please visit
http://eccs13.eu for further information.

Prospective organizers are invited to submit an informal proposal (less than 1000 words) by email to
satel...@eccs13.eu with subject line 'Satellite proposal'. In the message header, please specify the satellite title, as well as the names and institutions of the members of the organizing committee.

The proposal should include detailed information regarding the subjects covered by the satellite meeting and their relevance to the conference main tracks, relation to previous such meetings, duration of the meeting (from 1/2 day to 2 days), a preliminary schedule (including a list of invited speakers), paper selection standards, and a budget assessment*.

Also bear in mind that all the participants to a satellite meeting must be registered to the main conference.

The deadline for applications for satellite meetings is February 18 2013. Official notification of acceptance will be sent on 28 February 2013 at the latest.
