Hi,

I was exploring how to implement compiere for my manufacturing setup.
I am impressed with other modules, however I am bit perplexed
regarding the Asset module.

My requirement is to have the depreciation on asset getting reflected
in the accounting. As far as I can see compiere captures only the life
of the asset. However, it doesnt capture the value of the asset.

In this case I am not sure on how will this will reflected in the
balance sheet.

I will help if someone can share some information / experience on
this.

Regards,
Amiya

Compiere has limited Asset management capability. You should use the JOURNAL ENTRIES screen in the Accounting module to manually put in the entries to depreciate the Asset based on your accounting policies/rules.
