Sr. Data Architect-Modeler

Location: Deerfield, IL (Local Candidates Only)

Duration: 6 Months

 

 

Participates in meetings with project managers, technical support, and clients to identify and specify system requirements and processes.

Assists in the design, development, and implementation of new application.

Assists in the preparation of detailed specifications for programs to be written.

Uses specialized skills and technical expertise to assist users in resolving a system problem, or escalates problem to a more experienced systems analyst in accordance with service level agreements.*Assists application developers in providing alternative solutions and recommending the best solution based upon fact discovery and management.

 

Coordinates and monitors the development of program specifications and efforts.

Participates in the development of work plans and schedules consistent with department standards and methods.

• Strong experience 5 years+ in developing Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence Systems, Processes, and Operations.

• Experience architecting/designing large, complex integrated solutions to include Data Warehouse applications and purchased packages.

• Strong knowledge of ETL Design, Data Modeling, parallel database design, data governance, and data quality management is required.

• Strong experience supporting Sales and Marketing reporting and analytics solutions.

• Strong experience working in the Pharmaceuticals industry a plus

• Experience utilizing and interpreting data from third party vendors such as IMS Health and Wolters Kluwer a plus.

• Strong experience utilizing IBM Cognos 8 Business Intelligence Suite

• Strong knowledge of relational database systems like Oracle , SQL Server, Sybase, and Relational Database Design required.

• Clear understanding of the entire project life cycle including Analysis, Design and Development.

• Experience creating high-level technical specifications for use by resources and for knowledge transfer

• Experience with validated applications a plus.

• Innovative, self-motivated, delivery focused and detail-oriented with excellent communication skills with peers and users.

• Able to work individually and across globally diversified virtual technology teams.

• Strong interpersonal, client service, oral and written communications, organizational, and task management skills.

• Ability to work effectively with clients, and management and its staff members.

• Sound judgment and tact.
