Role: Sr. Cognos Architect
Location: Deerfield, IL (Only Local)
Duration: 6 Months
• Participates in programs or processes
• Assists with program/process administration
• Strong interpersonal, client service, oral and written communications, task management, organizational, team, and leadership skills
• Establishes objectives and defines procedures
• Provide accurate and timely estimates to the project manager to ensure timely resolution
• Modifies and enhances procedures within broad guidelines.
• Makes choices from diversified and complex procedures.
• May require judgment or interpretation of established instructions/guidance
• Contact with peers and direct supervisor.
Information explanation.
• Strong experience of 7+ years in Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence Systems, Processes, and Operations utilizing Cognos Cubes and Reports.
• Strong experience supporting Sales and Marketing reporting and analytics solutions.
• Strong experience supporting Sales and Marketing reporting and analytics solutions.
• Strong experience working in the Pharmaceuticals industry a plus
• Experience utilizing and interpreting data from third party vendors such as IMS Health and Wolters Kluwer a plus.
• Strong Experience in real time dash board reporting
• Strong background in cube builds against dimensional data as well as relational
• Strong experience utilizing IBM Cognos 8 Business Intelligence Suite.
• Strong knowledge of relational database systems like Oracle , SQL Server, Sybase, and Relational Database Design required.
• Clear understanding of the entire project life cycle including Analysis, Design and Development.
• Experience creating high-level technical specifications for use by resources and for knowledge transfer
• Experience with validated applications a plus.
• Innovative, self-motivated, delivery focused and detail-oriented with excellent communication skills with peers and users.
• Able to work individually and across globally diversified virtual technology teams.
• Strong interpersonal, client service, oral and written communications, organizational, and task management skills.
• Ability to work effectively with clients, and management and its staff members.
• Sound judgment and tact.
