What does these environment variable do (Linux) ??
I mean what is the use of these env vars.
1) DISPLAY
2) PRINTER
3) LPDEST
4) XPRINTER

I had used the DISPLAY variable for configuring cygwin. It is used for xwin, and the variable is set to the IP address which will be using it.
