The optional Outputs section declares output values that you can import into other stacks (to create cross-stack references), return in response (to describe stack calls), or view on the CloudFormation console. For example, you can output the S3 bucket name for a stack to make the bucket easier to find.

CloudFormation doesn't redact or obfuscate any information you include in the Outputs section. We strongly recommend you don't use this section to output sensitive information, such as passwords or secrets.

Output values are available after the stack operation is complete. Stack output values aren't available when a stack status is in any of the IN_PROGRESS status. We don't recommend establishing dependencies between a service runtime and the stack output value because output values might not be available at all times.

A String type that describes the output value. The value for the description declaration must be a literal string that's between 0 and 1024 bytes in length. You can't use a parameter or function to specify the description.

The value of the property returned by the aws cloudformation describe-stacks command. The value of an output can include literals, parameter references, pseudo-parameters, a mapping value, or intrinsic functions.

In the following example, the output named BackupLoadBalancerDNSName returns the DNS name for the resource with the logical ID BackupLoadBalancer only when the CreateProdResources condition is true. (The second output shows how to specify multiple outputs.)

The following examples use the Fn::Join function to customize the export name instead of the Fn::Sub function. The example Fn::Join function concatenates the stack name with the name VPCID using a colon as a separator.

I've made an app and put the app in "$Splunk_Home\etc\apps\app_name\local" where I have the outputs.conf file. Since there is no outputs.conf file in "$Splunk_Home\etc\system\local" I get an error message in the log stating: "LightWeightForwarder/UniversalForwarder not configured. Please configure outputs.conf". If I move the outputs.conf file from my app to "$Splunk_Home\etc\system\local" it will work. I've have already an old setup that I inherited where this is working. It seems like the file in my app is not read for some reason. I've checked that the user have read access to files in my app. Unfortunatly I don't have documentation from the old setup so I can't see how this was implemented. Are someone able to point me in the right direction? I've tried searching for this issue, but couldn't find anything related to this issue. Thanks in advance

After running "splunk btool outputs list --debug" it finds all the outputs.conf files except the one that's in the app I created. I've checked the folder and files and it has exactly the same read permitions as the $Splunk_Home\etc\system folder. Do you have any sugestions what this means? Thank you so far!

I have a workflow with approximately 14 csv outputs. I want colleagues to be able to review the workflow and see the inputs and outputs of every icon, therefore they need to run the workflow. What I don't want is the csv files to be overwritten every time they run the workflow. I don't want to have to delete 14 connections, and have to re-establish them when I need them. Can you advise if there is a way to switch off / turn off the outputs? Below is what part of the end of the workflow looks like.

so recently I went to troubleshoot some servers that were not showing up in our queries and that's when I discovered that the ones that work that actually send their Even Log data to our Indexers they do not have an Outputs.conf file, how can that be? in the etc\system\local that is

It0s usuallt a best practice to put outputs.conf and deploymentclient.conf files not in the above folder but in a dedicated TA ()called e.g. TA_Forwarders) to manage using a Deployment Server, in this way you can easily change or add Indexers or Deployment Server.

ah, thank you sooooo much looks like they are in the etc\apps folder and subfolders named after our apps, really wish Splunk documentation said this, I followed like 19 of their docs and no mention of this from the forwarder and receiver perspective

I'm puzzled at why this isn't working. I'm hoping someone can help. I have two outputs writing to the same spreadsheet tab. I added the "Block Until Done" tool before the output of each line. Only the second line is providing an output/data.

When I detach the connector to the output on the second line... the first line output writes with no problem. When I add the connector back to the second line, it over writes the the first line every time.

On a side note, to achieve what you want that is to combine the 2 datasets into 1 spreadsheet tab (assuming that there are no other data), I was thinking you can actually join the 2 outputs using a Join tool to join on Record position (add dummy columns L to O), and output this as 1 output without using the Block Until Done tool.

How exactly do I created empty columns? I've been working on this today, but can't seem to figure it out. I tried using the Formula and Dynamic tool... still wasn't able to remove the header on the column.

When you submit the tool outputs, you must submit all outputs at the same time. So it could be that you submitted the outputs before all tool outputs were finished or maybe one of your tools had an error and produced no output.

Basically, the error tells you that your Assistant requested action for two tools (or twice on the same tool, who knows) and when you submitted the outputs, you only submitted the output for one tool.

If I'm interpreting these posts correctly, there is no way to specify that a particular/individual geoprocessing model should overwrite its outputs. The only option is to set this in the Pro options tab as shown in the first post. Is this still the case? I'm calling a lot of geoprocessing models from ArcPy and I want to allow some of the models to overwrite existing outputs. This setting in the Pro user interface is likely ignored when running a completely standalone ArcPy script.

When calling your model from arcpy, arcpy.env.overwriteOutput should be set to True. Is this not working? Often in the desktop apps it is common for a layer to not easily release file locks (regardless of overwrite setting), lots of bug fixes of that through the years.

When running standalone outside of the desktop app, there aren't data layers in the interface (just in memory when created) so these problems are less likely - IF you make sure the environment overwriteOutput is set to True in your code.

Facing the same issue in Pro 3.3.1 - I have a model built that I would like to use to refresh a map layer, but it seems that each and every time, I need to delete the output layer first -- despite having toggled the overwrite in settings.

I've created a model with an iterator and I want to merge the outputs. Since I have used an iterator only 1 output displays on the ModelBuilder window but there are actually 4 outputs, as seen in the table of contents. I want to merge the 4 outputs into 1 in ModelBuilder.

Currently, I am using the Merge Branch tool to try and complete this operation but I have also tried using the Append and Merge tool. the Append tool rejected the inputs (I got an error message saying inputs are invalid) while the merge tool ran successfully but didn't have the desired impact.

Any ideas on what I can do next? I have attached a picture of an excerpt from my model that illustrates the problem. Please let me know if you need more pictures or material to help solve my query.

I am using telegraf with influxdb to write a json file through plugins. My problem is that when I start telegraf with my configuration an error pops up saying that it has failed to write the metrics and gives out an error:

I think it might be due to a problem with the json_time_format, although the error comes from the outputs.influxdb_v2 plugin. This is the telegraf.conf file:

I tried changing them to a string, an int and a double but telegraf will not have any of it. I use these 2 data elements so I can at least compare results. When I do a test, it does look like it recognises everything but for some reason it still fails at writing the metrics and giving out that odd 422 error.

If the output of the json files cannot be changed, it might be possible to read in the json file lines as a string value and then parse it yourself in a custom processors.starlark or processors.execd plugin.

Thank you for your advice. I followed it and made sure that the connection to InfluxDB works. I tested the standard [[inputs.cpu]] plugin and it shows up in the Data Explorer. I wrote my current parser the way you mention, from little to big. I started with a simple parser and json using the documentation examples and built on that, but the moment I put a time key in the input plugin the data stops being written.

If the timestamp is older than the retention policy, it is not even written to the database. What for?
Please check the InfluxDB to see which retention policy is set for this bucket.

Good day! I am new to Power Automate and Power Apps. I just started working on a Power Apps app that triggers a Power Automate Flow to update some info on a SharePoint List. As the previous developer left and I got onboarded to work on this App- I changed to my work email account to get the access and work on the "Dev environment" with the connector to the SP list. But still I am getting this error inside the Flow at the very first step
