Wassup suckas,
I helped organize an event in conjunction with the DC Georgetown Alumni Club that I thought you might be interested in. Though tailored to current SFS undergrads with an interest in international affairs and the global economy, I'd like to open the invitation to all of you who would also enjoy a drink with other undergrads, some GU alumni, and even a professor!
Fuad Hasanov, current adjunct GU professor and economist at the IMF, will be there to speak on current economic events. I had him for I-Finance last semester and learned a ton. The brofessor is a total rockstar and has almost too much chill. He graciously accepted my invitation to come hang with us Thursday night, so help me out by guaranteeing a good showing please.
This is a very casual event. The alumni just want to meet some current undergraduates and an update on present life on the hilltop, but it wouldn't be Georgetown if it wasn't through an intellectually stimulating conversation now would it? Should be fun, so hope to see you there!
Details to the event are as follows:
What: "Meet and mingle with fellow Hoyas interested and working in the global economic events headlining our news this summer! This is an opportunity for alumni and current students to engage with one another on global topics of interest, and happy hour specials will be available."
When: Thursday, September 24, 6-8PM
Where: James Hoban’s, DuPont Circle. (If you are under 21 or just don't want to drink you don't have to).
Costs: No cost to attend! There will be happy hour specials available, however.
Why: Because I love you and it'll be fun.
See you Thursday!
Warmly,
James Shon
