Thanks for that advice Paul. I've introduced myself to the team at Minnards and they have been very helpful in getting my education started, particularly Ian from the workshop. They confirmed that it is very hard to track down any quality documentation and don't even have a full set of originals themselves.
I think I've got enough documentation now to start on the basics of oil and fuel system checks. The cooling system is leaking a bit of water when the engine is running and will be the next step after the oil and fuel.
Thanks again to Amanda and Paul for your support and to Col for posting the document on the website.
After the engine servicing my next priorities will be:
- Antifouling - I've already read some threads on the forum but would appreciate any thoughts on the best options people are currently using
- Replacing the windows - aluminium frames corroded and all have minor leaks
- Re-fixing loose stanchions - a couple also causing leaks in heavy rain
- Compliant Toilet - Holding/Pump out tank or other suitable option
Mooring site finalised with RMS today in Warner's Bay so once Ian
'Swampy' Marsh has set up the mooring equipment we'll have a home to
settle in to.
Marg and I have had a couple of excursions on the lake and had a great time. Much to learn but the journey is certainly underway!
Warmest regards
Michael
