I'm going to start working on a static site for compass documentation.
It will be checked into the compass codebase. Structural markup and
layouts will be in haml. Main content for docs will be in markdown.
Once complete, feature commits will require corresponding documentation.

I'll probably use staticmatic for this but I'm open to other
suggestions.

I would like to collaborate with a designer to build these docs and a
new homepage for compass-style.org. Alex, since you were working on
this already, I'd love that person to be you, but if you don't have
time at the moment, I can ask for another volunteer.

I'm hoping to have these docs live in a week or two.

I don't know what kind of time investment you'll need but I'll throw my hat into the ring if Alex isn't able.

I'd like help wireframing the basic structure of the reference docs,
then I will build some pages with semantic html and then we can work
in parallel. I would guess it's around 5-10 hours of design work. But
it's more of a bid based gig than hourly ;)

Should I send the psd for the desig I worked on?

Sorry, been out for a bit; laptop with all my work died so just trying
to get back up to speed. Damn MacBook Air is *not* intended for heavy
development work.

I have that StaticMatic Bootstrap out there, and will help to code/design as needed.

Yes, please. Thank you for all the thinking you've already done. The
creative briefs and mockups really crystalized a lot for me.

Where are we at with this? Anything going on yet? Could a Basecamp project help organize this?

I've done some wireframes for the documentation:
http://nokahuna.com/projects/9965/attachments

and set up a No Kahuna project here:

Right now Chris is writing an inline documentation parser and then I'll be working on making it beautiful. Right now it's pretty early on so there's not much else to do, but soon we'll get to a point where we may need some help.

I changed my mind and started working on sassdoc afterall. For the non-reference portions of the site, there's still a TBD around what framework to use. I'll give middleman a try.

Chris,

Happy to field ideas and feature requests, even if you go another
direction in the end.
