Dear Companions,
The second session of the year is not far away, and we look forward to seeing you in the parish hall for our next meeting.
Welcome to Moein, who is new on our group!
This week, we will take in more of Bishop Barron's enthusiasm for the Truth and learn more about the arguments for God's existence, as well as the nature of God and some of His attributes.
If you want to read along in the study book for the course, you have to order it from Wordonfire.org.
However, the first lesson is available as a sample here: http://mysteryofgod.wordonfire.org/#study-program.
You can also access the digital platform to see the videos (I am not sure if the texts are there too): https://special.wordonfire.org/digital
For the sharing session, please prepare by thinking about these questions:
- In your experience, what are the biggest obstacles that prevent atheists and non-believers from coming to know that God exists? Are they intellectual, emotional, or a combination?
- What is the difference between having faith that God exists - and having faith in God? Which is the closest description of your faith?
- Do you truly believe that God is infinite, all-powerful and all-loving? Do you put limits on God or doubt that he is capable of loving all?
Stay prayerful, we hope to see you Wednesday!
Best regards,
Companions team
