Hi,

In the exam if we are asked to decompose to 3NF with loss less join and dependency preserving, if our decomposition method results in a BCNF with loss less join and dependency preserving will we still achieve full marks? Or must the decomposition be exactly 3NF?

Hi Jor,

I think it should be ok if it meets the requirements of 3NF, no matter whether it is in a BCNF or not.
