lsass problem

Hi

Can anyone please help!

When I boot up my pc it seems to be running very slowly. Eventually I
get to open task manager, and discover that lsass.exe is taking up
around 95% of the cpu. Why would this be? Is it the sasser virus? Im
running AVG antivirus. Any help would be much appreciated.
