share a folder across a ppp link

Hi

I am having a client machine running windows 98. It is connected to a
linux server using a ppp link.

Is it possible to make a particular folder (or even a drive) on the
client machine shareable so that the server can read files from that
folder without running any particular service such as samba on the
client ?

Please suggest.
