I have a bunch of user docs in PowerPoint presentations for an
Application that runs in an X window. It would be nice to press a
button on the X Window that causes the help docs to open. Is there any
support for this? Or, is there support for a clickable URL, etc.?

Is there any other approach short of converting docs and putting them
on the Unix server or instructing the user where to find them from
their local machine?

Regards,
Craig

I might not be up-to-date (I am not following what's happening very
closely) so there might be much more recent versions or source code on
this.

Nevertherless,

well, for the clickable URLs, you might look into the source code of
Mosaic.. The original Mosaic source code was written for X, and
included the "HTML Widget".

Once you have the source code, it is easy to re-direct the URL
containing a ".ps" to launch PowerPoint...

My 2 cents..
