When I try to save an new email alarm in kalarm I keep getting a message
"You must select a calendar to save the alarm in". I do have a calendar
highlighted. I've even chmod 777 the relative .ics file. But I cannot get
past that message. Anybody have a solution.

I did import this ics file from a drive that had an older version of
kalarm (frankly I preferred the older one) calendar.ics.

I don't know the answer as kalarm seems to work for me but I notice there
are some options under "storage" when you select "Configure Kalarm", maybe
the answer is there?

I've looked into every aspect of the config menu. I've tried "Store
in default calendar" as well as "Prompt for which ...." and no luck.
It worked fine when I ran Slackware v11 (not sure what KDE version)
but I've recently upgraded to Slack 14 and have had trouble with it
and the other PIM products ever since (KDE 4.8.5).

I used to rely on getting reminders sent to me. Now I'm looking for
a replacement app.
