kword 1.0 import .doc files

The file open dialog in kword 1.0 has an MS Word selection in the drop
down list
but when I try to open a .doc file i get a message that there is no
import filter. I did
a standard install of RH 7.1. Where do I get the import filter?

I tried to install the beta but there was a failed dependency libkdeprinter
