Job Description
REQUIREMENTS: BSCS or MIS required with an excess of 6 years experience
architecting, designing, and developing Internet and client/server solutions
on large-scale, enterprise-wide software development teams aimed at the
Fortune 500+ clientele. Experience using O-O techniques necessary.
Client/Server development experience prior to Internet n-tiered design and
development experience is highly preferred. Must have substantial experience
in a model-driven, component-based Microsoft Development setting using ASP,
VB Scripting, COM/DCOM, MTS, and IIS with ability to design and develop from
scratch. Must possess a solid understanding of Internet production security
issues and solutions. Development experience with applications running
against an Oracle RDBMS using PL/SQL is necessary as is a solid
understanding of Oracle RDBMS behavior and enterprise capabilities. Recent
use of Rational Unified Process and Rational tools, including Rose, RUP, and
test suites is necessary or related UML tools. Exposure to and use of
Microsoft.NET technologies is highly preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES: As a senior contributor to the team, you will be
responsible for ground floor design and development of mission critical
enterprise level n-tiered, internet applications for one of the largest
state agencies in TX. Will utilize Microsoft-based Internet technology
incorporating GIS from the Environmental Systems Research Institute with
Oracle RDBMS on the backend. Will also utilize development -enhancing tools
including Rational Rose, Rational RUP, and Rational Test suite.
