If it is not networking to one another, then check your startup program,
drivers and any utility tool are causing these problem.

i have 2 pc's 1 dell laptop and a generic desktop (both withs cd-rw's)
i use a cd to transfer files from 1 to the other (my quicken files,
pics, docs, etc.) usually when i insert the cd into either pc i get
the direct cd box that comes up stating this cd is ready and be read
by explorer, word etc. now more often than not i don't get that
message and when that happens i can't see the last files i put on it
from the other pc, sometimes reinserting it 3-4 times will correct the
issue and let me see the new files, sometimes not. On my desktop,when
i don't see the direct cd message, windows explorer sees the disc in
the drive (without new files), it will not eject it (either thru
windows or pushing the eject button), i either have to restart the pc
or force the tray open with a paper clip in the small hole on the
front of the drive9 This only happens on the desktop pc) my dell
laptop will eject the disc even if it doesn't see the new files, what
gives?
