I have a XENIX 386 v2.3.4 system where the N2 & n3 disks are release 2.3.4q
and the boot disk (N1) does not match.
Does anyone have an N1 disk image of a disk with the following specs:

SCO XENIX 386
Volume N1
Media: 135dshd
Type: 386MC
Release: 2.3.4q

my system boots up and starts the install but when you finish with b1,
X1,X2,X3 & X4
it askes for the N! disk again then the X2 and you get the error message
that
the N1 is not the same release.
My N1 says:

SCO XENIX 386
Media: 135dshd
Type: 386AT
Release 2.3.4

Can anyone help?
Thanx in advance!

Aha!
OK... so what I apparently need is another N2 & N3 disk marked AT then
instead of
an N1 disk marked MC.
Well, that sure as heck makes a big difference eh!
Thanx for your reply Jeff!
The copies of XENIX I have (286 2.3.2 complete) and my 386 2.3.4 (what I
thoughtwas complete!) were given to me
by the former owner of a company that used to distribute computers and
software.
They are no longer in business but I got them in the boxes complete with
docs,
serials & activation key sheets.
The 286's work fine but somehow I got a mixed 386 version, boot for AT and
N2 & N3 for Microchannel.
Cancel last request and if anyone has an N2 & N3 disk image for AT (I can go
over my
originals) I would be most thankful.

Peace!

Yep.

See if he has something much older in the way of Xenix. Some marginally
sane individual is trying to resurrect Xenix 86 on a 4.77Mhz IBM PC and
needs a complete set of 360K floppish.

I'll MIME attach and email the missing floppy images to you when I get to
the office tonight. Don't forget to install various updates found on the
SCO web site. See:
ftp://ftp.sco.com/SLS/info/
at the "xnx___" stuff near the bottom. Also, you'll need xnx427 which is
the Y2K suppliment.

I tried the email address in the signature and the one in the header.
Both bounced. Send me an email address that works and I'll send you
some disk images. Grrrrr...
