Xenix 286 did not have any ethernet networking.

Xenix 286 will run on a 386 cpu. However, there are some fixed
timing loops in the tape drivers that will cause the typical
ancient QIC-36 tape drive to fail unless you slow down the CPU.

Xenix 386 (tcp/ip 1.2.1) does not support the NE2000 card. You
need to find a 3Com 3C503, WD8003 or WD8013 card.

Yes. However, unless you have a good reason to run Xenix 286, I
think you're going to be fighting old bugs and hardware issues.
If you can find a 386DX40, 8MB of ram, a decent IDE hard disk,
and Xenix 2.3.4 with tcp/ip 1.2.1, you'll have a much more
useable system.
