Using ARCserve Lite from the command line.

help files options flags

Release

SCO ARCserve/Open from Cheyenne Release 2.1.0, 2.2.0

Problem

The ARCserve User Guide mentions the existence of a "basic job submission"
command line facility for the
Lite product, but the commands listed in the Appendix do not appear to be
present.

Cause

The Lite product has an alternative, but undocumented, command line
interface from the full product.

Solution

Use the arcserve.cmd command located in /usr/lib/ARCserve.

For a usage message, run this command without any options which will
produce the following output:

Usage .....

For backup job:

arcserve.cmd -b [eEgiIt] source directory

For restore job:

arcserve.cmd -r [deEgiInt]

For job form script:

arcserve.cmd -s script_path
