cfgadm -al , what is ESI

Below is part of the output of cfgadm , does anyone know what the "ESI"
stands for. This is a lun from a 3510 array and I really want it to say
"disk".

Sun support told me a while back that the ESI entry shows up when your
HBA does not see LUN 0 on your array.
That is not a problem unless you are running veritas cluster or
suncluster where you need to write scsi reservation
keys to your coordinator (or quorum) disks.
