As I know, NIS netgroup would have limitation on the number of entries.
I would like to know if this limitation would still exist using LDAP?

The limitation might not be as low as you think. You can define
netgp netgp0 netgp1 ... netgp<n>
and then use the netgp<i> to contain the real entities.
netgp0 entity00 entity01 ... entity0<m>
netgp1 entity10 entity11 ... entity1<m>
netgp2 entity20 entity21 ... entity2<m>

Yes, this is the situation in our existing NIS method.
However, after migration to LDAP can we just use
netgrp entity00 entity01...... entity99 ....
Or it is still bounded by the limitation as b4?
