Guys,
Whets the best way to troubleshoot system performance problems. We are
running Solaris 10 and Oracle 8 and 9 and now and again i have to
troubleshoot performance problem.
I haven't done much performance troubleshooting, i have used sar, top, prstat
,vmstat occasionally but not deeply enough.
My main question how do analyze the output of these commands to identify the
problem. The output of these commands can be quite confusing, i need to know
exactly what i am looking for

How to analyze these command outputs ,I have been in Solaris for awhile
but haven't had much performance troubleshooting experience, Gurus please
jump to my rescue.

The performace problems we get happen usually when Oracle users are running
jobs/queries ..i know these could be poor sql etc but i am purely interested
in analysing and understanding the outputs of these commands ie
sar,vmstat,prstat etc

Gurus please come to my rescue.Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks
