Hi,

after a powersupply error my ldom configuration has gone.

ldm list
NAME STATE FLAGS CONS VCPU MEMORY UTIL NORM UPTIME
primary active -n-cv- UART 8 16G 0.3% 0.0% 39m

The ldoms were on iscsi devices. The iscsi devices are restored.

I have the configuration commands for the ldoms. Can I rebuild the
configuration. Will the content of the ldoms will be remain?

Host has solaris 11 and the ldoms had solaris 10.

TIA

Yes.

I have done this a number of times.
Just rereun the commands/script and then boot.

Then save the config to the SP ! :-)

"have". The OS is still on the underlying disks
:-)

And take a look at the boot prom settings,
like auto-boot and boot-devices. Perhaps you
have to reconfigure them as well.

Yes, since 3 hours the servers are back.

In the meantime some old bare metal servers does the Job. Problem was to get
the meantime data merged.

I had the create scripts for thee 7 ldoms on the 2 T5 servers.
Works like a charm, ok the second zpools have to be reimportet.

I testet the restart of the LDOMs and host some times only with reboot.
Never with powerdown ...
I found that a lot of people fall into this trap..

Shortest answer was

Yes, easily done. Hence why a poweroff should be performed as part of
system testing before it goes live :-)
Or RTFM :-)
