I have downloaded and installed the Motif rtl patch, but now when I run
netscape, every once in a while when i am scrolling, it screws up all
the fonts on my screen! Even on the CDE front panel! Anyone know why
this might be so? (I have a PPro 200 w/ 2.5.1.x86)

Also... i have 64 megs of memory... why is it that my mouse stops moving
(and everything else on the screen) whenever there is a disk access and
the computer is thinking? Do i need STILL more memory? Will this STOP if
I get 128megs???

Thanks-
Jason

You probably running into bug 4073060 w/ S3 ViRGE video cards (#9 331
is one of them). This fix is scheduled to go into Video Driver Update
2.

64MB should be enough. How much swap space do you have? I recommend
at least 128MB of swap.

No. Probably a bug.

No. You're probably using IDE drives. SCSI disks don't
have this problem. At least I don't with just 32MB.

Hmmmm, what is the patch number? I recently installed a slew of
recommended patches that included some motif and Xsun stuff. Now, when
running netscrape, I get frequent mouse freezes. I have to reboot the
system to get control back. I have perfmeter on the screen and I can
see the interrupt activity, but the mouse pointer will not move and the
application will not respond to mouse clicks. Also x86 2.5.1 and using
24 bit depth. Has anyone else seen this? Only seems to happen with
netscrape active.
