Greetings-

I inherited a X6730A (Sbus fiber channel controller) that I will
install in an Enterprise 6500. Problem is I have no docs on this card.
Does it require special drivers, is it plug and play like a normal SCSI
controllers?? Because of a narrow window of opportunity for downtime I
must get this right on the first couple of takes. Anyone using this
controller that can shed some insight??

Ok, this is an FC-AL 100 MB/s module.

Running Solaris 2.5.1 H/W 11/97 or Solaris 2.6 (possibly H/W 3/98)
should be ok.

Run pkginfo | grep SSA -- make sure your load includes the drivers
for SSA/SENA

If not, go back to the installation CD and add the packages --
I think they are SUNWssadev and SUNWsena

If they are already there, you should be ok to go, provided you either
touch /reconfigure or boot -r from the <ok> prompt.

Hope this helped.
