Hello

I just got two new T4-1 machines with preinstalled Solaris11.

There should be Sol10 installed, so I planned to configure jumpstart.

Unfortunately this preinstalled 11 does not have all binaries needed for
it, nor jumpstart scripts from S10 is working here.

Please tell me which ISO for S11 I should download to be able to
configure jumpstart server for Solaris 10?

You should be able to configure Solaris 11 as a Jumpstart server
for S10 clients.
Which commands fail?

I have no "in.rarpd" and "rpc.bootproto" on this preinstalled S11.

And I'm using "check" and "add_install_client" from Solaris10, not 11.

I'm downloading "repo-full.iso" but its 7GB which will take 16 hour for

For feature reference.

I had to download full repo for S11 and add replace preset "publisher".
Here is good description:

Next I have configured jumpstart for old S10, using these steps:

http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23824_01/html/E21799/gkpbt.html

Now my clients are installing :)

I'm just wondering why you were able to download the repo but not able
to add the additional packages from the pkg.oracle.com site.

pkg.Oracle.COM sporadic outage?
Oracle seems to pay homage to SunSolve.SUN.COM by making
fetching Solaris IPS updates an unreliable experience.

It can be added, as has already been suggested.

I use JET in a S11 zone for my S10 installs. Works a treat.

I suppose I should dig out my notes .....

I am trying to install Jumpstart on Solaris 11 per oracle documentation, have nfs shared but get this messages when I run add_install_client script :

/export is already shared.
However, the zfs file system /export must be shared
read-only with root access. Use the "zfs set" command to
set the sharenfs property for file system /export as follows:
Use ro and either anon=0 or root=oradb04 for /export.
This must be fixed and /export shared
before oradb04 can boot.
