cp: cannot overwrite non-directory `/usr/lib64' with directory `lib64'

Hi all,

I want to install the install_flash_player_11_linux_x86_64.tar.gz,

but in my debian system, the /usr/lib64 is a soft link which refer to /
usr/lib

While the lib64 is a real directory in the
Install_flash_player_11_linux_x86_64.tar.gz 's usr sub-directory, when I
cp the usr/* of the software to the system's /usr/, I meet the error
given in the subject. How to solve this type issues?

See the following output for detail:

werner@debian-asus:~/software/mozilla.org/flash_player$ sudo cp -fr usr/
* /usr/
cp: cannot overwrite non-directory `/usr/lib64' with directory `usr/lib64'

But, this is the recommended operation given in the readme.txt for this
tool. Any hints on this issue?

1. The problem description and error messages belong in the message body,
not solely in the message's Subject header field value.

The Subject header field's value should be descriptive of the message,
but *concise*. (You did that part slightly better this time.)

2. You don't. You run the installer (recommended) or copy the directory
contents instead.

3. The Flash Player plugin can be installed on Debian GNU/Linux easily with
the `flashplugin-nonfree' package.

4. This was – again – not a Unix shell programming question. There are
newsgroups for GNU/Linux that you should use for those kind of questions
instead.
