Version: zsh-3.1.9
Linux: 2.4.0-test10
glibc: 2.2

Actually, for the best part of two years I have failed to be able to
compile zsh, so the problem cannot necessarily depend upon these, very
recent versions. Zsh has the unique distinction to be the only package
that I have consistently failed to be able to compile! (I maintain my
own linux directly from the sources.)

For any suggestions I would be sincerely grateful.
