Last posts I made was about the Dell 310: that I could'nt get it to
recognize the USB keyboard during an install so I had to load SCO
6.0.0 using another SATA machine and then putting the drive
back into the 310.

The Dell T110 is the same problem. Plus, I am now getting static
about the BCM5722 (nd) driver says it loads it but on reboot
the "(soemthing)did" isn't correct. That is my next headache. . .

While it does recognize the keyboard now, I have to do a CTL-ALT-F2
and back to CTL-ALT-F1 to get it to work if left unattended for a
while. . .

Morning Carl,

Unfortunately neither of these Dell machines are certified
and we have no plans to certify them. We have certified a
number of Dell servers this year including the:

PowerEdge M605
http://wdb1.sco.com/chwp/owa/hch_model_cert_page?f_model_id=99644&f_release_id=601

PowerEdge R610
http://wdb1.sco.com/chwp/owa/hch_model_cert_page?f_model_id=99794&f_release_id=601

PowerEdge T300
http://wdb1.sco.com/chwp/owa/hch_model_cert_page?f_model_id=99391&f_release_id=601

and PowerEdge T610
http://wdb1.sco.com/chwp/owa/hch_model_cert_page?f_model_id=99721&f_release_id=601

Have a look at the certification notes in the URLs above as these may
be of
some assistance in getting your particular models loaded and running.

Regards,

John

I am attempting to install release 6 onto a Dell PowerEdge T610 and it
will not recognise the USB keyboard when the machine is booted with
the Base Operating system disk. Apart from installing on a different
machine and swapping the HDU any thoughts?

Nick,

We were installing a T610 with SCO6 and determined that you must use
the "PSM=atup" boot option.
As the SCO6 page (http://wdb1.sco.com/chwp/owa/hch_model_cert_page?
f_model_id=99721&f_release_id=601) says:

* IMPORTANT NOTE: Until MP4 can be applied post installation it
is necessary
to boot the system with the following boot parameter
specified at the boot prompt

PSM=atup

This is required during initial system load and after the 1st
reboot of the system. Once the
system comes up and MP4 can be installed, the system will boot
normally without this.

Hope it helps.

This is good to know as I have been loading
SCO6 on an older more BIOS friendly machine and then
transfering the disk to the T110 after the
build and MP4.
