Has someone made a rather large mistake which has been brushed under
the carpet or has it moved somewhere else. Anyone else have the same
problem whereby the print queue isn't added properly. I've one
particular system which is still suffering after removal of the above
patch, and wonder if anyone would know how to reverse it's affect on
the system.
The patch was listed as a minor fix for 5.0.5 / 5.0.6 and 5.0.6A
Any help would be appreciated

oss639a had severe packaging problems and was withdrawn. A revised,
correctly-packaged version is supposed to be in the works.
OSR5 includes two different print spooler systems, SysV (/usr/bin/lp,
lpsched, etc.) and BSD (/usr/lib/lpd, etc.) They interact with each
other in various ways. Both include a number of binaries with the same
names (lpstat, cancel, etc.) Exactly where each binary lives varies
according to whether the BSD spooler has been configured with `mkdev
rlp`. Several recent supplements have issued one set of binaries or the
other, but installed them in the location belonging to the other
spooler, or with insufficient care about whether the BSD spooler is
configured. This is in the process of being cleaned up.

One line in that document. But why not try README in that same
directory. You will see that it was removed 04-JAN-02 because of
issues with systems that have BSD line printing installed .

My search using the caldera search didn't point me to the other README
What was this patch supposed to fix as there are already fixes to
lp/lpstat in the security patches that have been released.
