Its a longshot, but has anyone got an OSR5 BTLD Floppy disk for a
Cristie CD1600 parallel port CD-ROM drive?

http://groups.google.com/groups?selm=812623...@cristie.co.uk
indicates that Cristie themselves produced such a driver (in 1995). To
my knowledge that is the only parallel port mass storage driver ever
written for OpenServer.

Whether the 1995 version written for their "Cristie Quad Speed
portable CD-ROM unit" would work with a newer faster model, I do not
know. Nor whether it would work with current OSR5 releases. Most of
all, I have no idea how you would find a copy...

Hmmm. Actually, a 1998 article:

http://groups.google.com/groups?selm=37B2D64B...@sphinxcst.co.uk

specifically mentions the CD1600. I still have no idea how you would
find a copy of the driver...

A company called Parallel Storage Solutions in NY used to sell the Cristie
drivers, along with hardware, under their own brand. Don't know if they are
still in business, though. A quick look on Google didn't turn up anything
more recent than 1996.
