For a start - there are more than just one SYSV filesystems - you will
need to know what filesystem type that disk is.

secondly - the filesystems are supported in the kernel so just copying
the mount et al binaries will not work. The Linux kernel does not
support (or need to) any of the SCO filesystems (as SCO does not support
Linux ext2 etc). You will have to install a SCO OS (OSR5) on another
machine and then locally mount this. You will then have to mount the
SCO filesystem on your Linux box using NFS.

If you do not have SCO Openserver you can get it "free" from SCO and
install it to do the above.

What is 3.2.2 ? I would assume 3.2v4.x and EAFS file system type. OTOH,
at the end of this original post and in your second post, you told us
it is probably HTFS, which is native only in SCO 3.2v5.0.x.

In case of EAFS, you might try to dig www.dejanews.com archive with
following keywords:

Subject: sco_fs - read/write access to SCO's modified sysv filesystems
Newsgroups: comp.os.linux.announce

where you should find native Linux virtual FS support (patch) for SCO's
EAFS. I cannot confirm this, because I'm not able to connect *only* to
dejanews site for almost 3 weeks :( However, I could send you the above
mentioned article, which I got from William Bader
<wil...@nscs.fast.net>, if you'd like.

Other than that, in both cases, you might try to compile my free tool
`fsrd` under Linux, which support read-access for all SCO's file system
types (except DTFS). However, there's one disadvantage at present with
`fsrd`. You won't be able to see file/directory names, unless you would
add such support (I'm about to do this in the future). You will
identify files/directories by their inode attributes (ino, permissions,
nlink, owner, group, size, mtime just like in case of `ls -l` except
file/directory name). If you'd like to try this, let me know, I'd send
you the sources.

For non-commercial/educational use. If this is for a business,
like building an application, then you legally cannot use the
Free OpenServe distribution.
