Hello. please someone can tell us if the software for Unixware 7.0 can
be run in the Unixware 2.1.2

We are interested in the FrontPage 98 Extension, and other free Software
but says for Unixware 7.0

Thanks for your time.

UnixWare7 will run most UnixWare2.x programs, but the reverse is not true. This is especially true for programs that are drivers or access driver hooks.

The reverse (ie SCO UnixWare 2.x running UnixWare 7 programs) is most
definitely true *if* the UnixWare 7 program was built using the UDK
(UnixWare/OpenServer Development Kit).

The UDK allows you to create a single binary that runs unmodified on
UnixWare 7, SCO UnixWare 2.1 and SCO OpenServer Release 5.
