My SCO Unix is 5.0.6 and running on Compaq Proliant server with Raid 5
config. When I use the compaq utility cpqmon to monitor the performace, I
find that the hard disk is always nearly 90% utilize, CPU is 30% and Memory
is 30%. It may due to my application with heavy I/O access. Therefore the
server performance are always slow.

Any kernel parameter should be tuned to increase the I/O performance?

Thanks

There's a pretty good performance tuning guide included with your system
that you can read in the GUI; it is also online at
http://osr5doc.ca.caldera.com:457/PERFORM/CONTENTS.html

also see http://aplawrence.com/Unixart/slow.html

Thanks, fixed both of them. Unless you meant something else?

Yes, something else. Your full name shows up now (in the headers)
as "Anthony", not the "Tony" we know and love:

Your full name is coming up as 'Anthony Lawrence' now instead of 'Tony
Lawrence'.
