BTW, this is an old 50 pin drive, so something like a 2940 is what I'd want.

We've recently posted a driver for NVidia graphics chips, which I
believe are fairly common in current laptops. See:

Read the text. It talks about specific NVidia chips. I'm not all that
familiar with their hardware, but the way it talks about specific chips
makes me think there are probably chips on the market that are not
supported by this driver, so be sure to match things up correctly.
