I set xhost + on the server, and got the follow messages:
> xhost +
access control disabled, clients can connect from any host
xhost: must be on local machine to enable or disable access control.
The server system is SunOS 4.1.3_U1 1 sun4m.
On the client, I got errors as below:
Xlib: connection to "host:0.0" refused by server
Xlib: Client is not authorized to connect to Server
/usr/openwin/bin/xwd: unable to open display 'host:0.0'
usage: /usr/openwin/bin/xwd [-display host:dpy] [-debug] [-help] [-root|-id
<id>|-name <name>] [-nobdrs] [-out <file>] [-xy] [-add value] [-frame]
xwdtopnm: couldn't read XWD file header no can do.
The second line is an error message telling you the xhost failed and
what you need to do to make it work.

Working for, but definitely not speaking for, Sun Microsystems, Inc.
Don't use "xhost +". Use xauth or ssh.
