SCO UnixWare 7.1.0 installation and x windows sys

I am a newbie to the SCO unix/linux envrionment and interested in becoming
more knowledgeable. But for some reason whenenver I install a copy of 7.1.0
and try to get it to automatically go to the KDE GUI login screen it always
goes to the command prompt login and I don't have a choice for the types of
session I want to use in X windows. How do I go about doing this and will
linux games and software work on SCO and are the Operating Systems
reversable as in you can use one piece of software on both and how well does
a cable modem hook in to SCO Unix?
